The work of the state system “Taxi” will not affect the cost of transportation, said the director of the department of state policy in the field of automobile and urban passenger transport of the Ministry of Transport of Russia Sergey Semenov, writes TASS.
“We are not introducing new requirements for taxis. In this regard, I don’t see any prerequisites for an increase in one-time prices,” he said. Semenov noted that the cost of transportation is influenced by other factors, including, in particular, the prices of cars, their maintenance and spare parts.
“If there are deviations [в цене на перевозки такси] some are catastrophic, then we, together with the Federal Antimonopoly Service, will analyze all these stories, ”the director assured.
July 29 government approved Decree on the start of the state taxi system from September 1. According to it, three local registries will operate in each region – for carriers, cars and taxi ordering services. The data of the registers will enter the federal system within 24 hours, which, according to the Cabinet of Ministers, will make it possible to increase the effectiveness of control over the provision of such services.
At the end of December 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law regulating the operation of taxis. The document contains norms relating to the requirements for a taxi driver, as well as to the external and internal appearance of the car. In addition, according to the adopted law, the carrier is obliged to store order data for six months and provide them at the request of law enforcement agencies.
The document also notes that the FSB has access to databases on taxi orders. The law comes into force on September 1, 2023, some of its provisions – from September 1, 2025.
