The Ministry of Digital Development opposes a ban on remote work for IT professionals who have left Russia. This was reported by the press service of the department. On the eve of the head of the Committee on Constitutional Legislation of the Federation Council Andrey Klishas said that the authorities are working on a bill that will introduce restrictions on remote work for the departed Russians.

“Decisions on the format of the work of their employees should be made by IT companies themselves. At the same time, we strongly recommend that you carefully analyze the risks of remote work of employees who administer critical applications, as well as information security systems. The department explained that a total ban on work from abroad will lead to a slowdown in the development of digital platforms and solutions. They added that as a result, this will adversely affect the competitiveness of Russian services.

The Ministry of Digital Development explained that, in their opinion, remote work from abroad is impossible for employees who work in projects to develop and create state information systems. The department proposed to include such a requirement in government contracts.
