Film director Nikita Mikhalkov said that he does not intend to work with relocant artists returning to the country. He emphasized that this is his principled position.
“I don’t want and won’t be with them [релокантами] work. Whoever wants, let him work,” said Mr. Mikhalkov in a conversation with journalists (quote from “RIA News”). He did not specify whether he supported the introduction of restrictions for relocants returning to the Russian Federation.
At the beginning of October, there was a discussion in the State Duma about famous citizens who spoke negatively about the actions of the Russian Federation and left the country after the start of the special operation. Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin said that upon their return such people could be sent to places “where there is no summer.” Later, deputy Alexander Khinshtein reported about checking some artists, including Maxim Galkin (recognized as a foreign agent), artist Alexander Gudkov and Alexander Revva, for treason.
