Microsoft Corporation does not plan to liquidate its legal entities in Russia, writes TASS with reference to the company’s financial statements for 2023. A similar decision was made at the end of 2022 after the suspension of sales of new products, but after that Microsoft decided to block existing solutions.

According to the agency, the corporation intends to retain its main legal entity in Russia, Microsoft Rus, as well as Microsoft Development Center Rus and Microsoft Payments Rus. The reports of Microsoft Mobile Rus say that there is no decision on further activities.

Microsoft announced the suspension of sales of products and services in Russia in March 2022. In August 2023, it became known that the company would stop renewing Microsoft 365 subscriptions for corporate customers in the country.

In March 2024 Softline reportedthat Microsoft, Amazon and Google will suspend access to cloud products for Russian organizations due to sanctions. We are talking about the services Microsoft Teams, Microsoft OneDrive, Microsoft Office 365 and others. Initially, the blocking was scheduled for March 20, but this date was later postponed.
