MegaFon acquired billing developer Nexign

MegaFon bought a 100% stake in billing developer Nexign at the end of December. This was reported RBC with reference to the list of affiliates of the company as of December 31, 2022. The transaction was confirmed in MegaFon itself, but they refused to disclose its amount.
“The deal was implemented as part of the restructuring of MegaFon’s assets – we are acquiring companies associated with the telecom direction and abandoning non-core ones,” a representative of MegaFon told RBC. He added that Nexign will remain a separate legal entity and retain all partners.
Nexign is a provider of business support systems (Business Support System) and Russia’s first developer of billing for telecommunications companies. In March 2022, Nexign came under the control of USM Telecom, a division of Alisher Usmanov’s USM Group, as part of the sale of ICS Holding to its founder Anton Cherepennikov.
In addition to MegaFon, Rostelecom and its subsidiary T2 RTK Holding (Tele2), Gazprom Telecom were among Nexign’s Russian clients. International clients in particular were the Uzbek operator Coscom (UCELL), the Kazakh Kcell and the Middle East Zain Kuwait. Nexign’s revenue in 2021 amounted to 9.2 billion rubles, net profit – 2.4 billion rubles.
