The British manufacturer of vitamins with Russian founders Bioniq bought out 100% of the German fitness startup Vaha. Information about the deal was confirmed to Vedomosti by representatives of both parties. The amount of the transaction is not disclosed.
Bioniq products are presented in Russia, but the company does not plan to introduce a new service to the Russian market. The purchase of a German startup will allow Bioniq to strengthen its position in Europe and enter the US and the Middle East, explained Vadim Fedotov, CEO of the company.
Bioniq was founded by Fedotov, former CEO of Gazprom Media Technology, and neurosurgeon Konstantin Karuzin in early 2019 in the UK. In July of the same year, the company entered the Russian market. It now also operates in the markets of the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Netherlands.
