They noted that users will be able to receive Avito orders, as well as send them through 8,000 Yandex Market delivery points from October this year. At the same time, users will have the opportunity to track their orders through Yandex Go. It is clarified that for now the service will be available for parcels up to 12 kg and costing up to 15,000 rubles.
According to the publication, the partnership agreement was signed against the backdrop of the bankruptcy of the operator PickPoint, with which Avito worked closely. As noted by General Director of Infoline-Analytics Mikhail Burmistrov, cooperation with Avito will allow Yandex Market to increase the attractiveness of its pickup points for franchisees in terms of additional income. In particular, according to the newspaper, now Yandex Market has only 10,500 pickup points and about 3,000 parcel terminals, while Wildberries and Ozon have 28,000 and 25,000 pickup points, respectively.
On April 21, Network of Automated Pickup Points LLC, which owns the PickPoint delivery service appealed to the Moscow Arbitration Court with a claim for its own bankruptcy. PickPoint managed 6,000 parcel terminals and 4,500 order pick-up points in 657 locations in Russia.
