Meat processing plant “Remit” wants to produce a triangular sausage under the brand name “Toblerone”

Meat processing plant “Remit” sent an application to Rospatent for the registration of the trademark “Toblerone”. As follows from the register of the service, the enterprise intends to produce sausage and meat delicacies under this brand. The representative of “Remit” confirmed this information, specifying that the sausage will be “not quite the usual shape, triangular.” The tactic of registering non-traditional names for the sausage market works more than effectively to attract the attention of buyers to a particular product, and this does not require additional investments in promotion, Vedomosti’s interlocutor adds. For example, earlier the company filed applications for the registration of the Cabernet Svignon signs (intended for one of the federal chains of liquor stores), as well as Doctorskaya and Tochka, Bacon and Tochka, Wi-Fi, and so on.

The plant itself is located in Podolsk and produces more than 300 types of products. The owners of the enterprise are businessmen Vladimir Konozakov (he also has shares in a number of meat processing plants, feed producers and invested in the Russian Field milk producer) and Rustem Mukhametshin. Remit’s revenue at the end of 2022 amounted to 10.6 billion rubles, and net profit – 1.9 billion rubles.
