“I am one hundred percent sure that our souls are led by someone from above,” says Masha. – I made my way from Siberia to Moscow – it’s not just like that. Nobody helped me in Moscow, I didn’t have a protégé, but I became a famous singer. Maybe “my ancestors are Russian people” said their word, I don’t know. By the way, the great Derbenev always told me: “Marus, your family is too strong. Someone upstairs is praying hard for you, for your soul.” I have been singing since the age of five. First, on the village stage of the village club. Every summer I was brought on vacation to my grandparents. They loved me, adored me, because I was their only granddaughter, all the rest were grandchildren. Grandpa used to take me to the country club. I still remember how one day I stood on a stool and sang. I liked it so much! My grandfather Grigory Petrovich then gave me a penny, 5 kopecks, for my performance. Everyone said: “Grisha, what a cool granddaughter you have! How she performs! And most importantly, do not be afraid of anything!”

Have you ever been stage fright?

– I always understood that I was the hostess on the stage! I only worry about technical issues: so that the music sounds on time, so that the ballet does not fail. And I know about myself: I’ll go out now and do everything, you just listen! I get great pleasure from the fact that I can create such that everyone gasps (laughs).

– Recently, you often act as a member of the jury!

– I gave myself the installation: “Now I am a teacher and I must play the role of a mentor.” When I am in the jury chair, I am not the singer Masha Rasputina. I try to look at the situation from the outside, to see whether a person is coping with his task or not. Masha Rasputina could say: “Ugh, I don’t like this at all.” And I don’t allow myself to. I discovered in myself that Masha Rasputina can be a mentor, a director of action. I can see what an artist should do, even one with very little ability. I tried to objectively evaluate the participants, and for this you need intelligence to rise above yourself.

– Also charisma, and you have over the edge.

– In all situations, you need to be alive. It is not simple. I watched the jury members at Superstar: during the performances of the participants they mark, write something so as not to forget, but everything is in my head. The main thing is what image this person carries from the stage. If he touched me, great. We have a million vocalists who cleanly take notes, but they are uninteresting, not alive. For example, I recently recorded a new song, Illusion of Sight. She performed it on Superstar. Critic Sergei Sosedov, when the song ended, ran onto the stage, hugged me tightly and said: “Oh, you seemed to sing this song only for me, Masha! It’s a brilliant song.” To which, I remember, she said: “I sing it.” Even the most brilliant work can be ruined by its execution. The great Derbenev also thought so. He said: “The performer makes the song.”

– Composer Kim Breitburg says that there will be no stars of the level of Pugacheva, Leontiev. Do you think so too?

“Recently, everything has been commercialized. To the needs of the degraded public. That’s why this nonsense sounds everywhere. Sometimes you hear some work of a newly-minted star and you think: “God, how do they listen to this? No lyrics, no music, just boom, boom, boom.” What an amazing opera we had in the Soviet Union, what an operetta! Tatyana Ivanovna Shmyga – she’s just a diva! When I was little, I always imitated her. And there were so many brilliant artists on the stage! And then, when the ideology ended, everything was turned upside down in all areas. Take cinema: I have been watching only foreign films for more than twenty years.

— American?

“They are terrible too. I love Turkish series. I used to love Indian cinema. But now Bollywood has gone bad, stupid entertainment. This is all due to the influence of the Anglo-Saxons. American cinema has also sunk below the plinth. Sometimes I look into the frame and see that the acting is a lie! And what horrible topics they raise: prostitution, deceit, murder, violence, cruelty, propaganda of cannibalism! I don’t even want to look at something like that. In our cinema, there is no hero to whom the entire younger generation would be equal. No soul, no nothing! And you should both cry and laugh with the heroes. But as soon as the people come to the unity of their consciousness and understand that a citizen is the owner and creator of his land and country, then everything will change. The Russian people must remember who he is, what kind, tribe, what greatness our ancestors left him in art, and in literature, and in cinema, and in music. Then creation will begin.

– Lenin, probably, not in vain said: “The most important thing is the art of cinema.”

– That’s right, he saw the root! In Soviet times, what kind of cinema was created! And look how the country then rose. And then all these “blind-blinds” went off, and everything fell below the plinth. Young people should not even be condemned. We need positive examples. Everything needs to be changed. Create an ideology of goodness, morality and creativity, and then the Russian people will be invincible. Our Russian minds have created everything: both in science and in technology. And then enterprising people stole everything and passed it off as their own, rewriting history. But still, even after 100 years, the truth will prevail. Heaven won’t let her be destroyed. Unity is our strength. Orthodox must unite to resist evil. Derbenev told me about this too.

– How many works you created with him! And “Live, country”, and “Let me go to the Himalayas.”

How many times have our enemies wanted to separate us! They told him one thing about me on purpose, they whispered it to me, and another about him. Thank God, Leonid Petrovich was a genius, a wise man, he understood everything. He said: “Marusya, they specifically say nasty things about you so that I don’t give you good songs. You and I created brilliant works, and the enemies immediately began to fuss, they put spokes in the wheels, they try to play off so that we would not have creativity. Leonid Petrovich actually carved me. Derbenev was for me a father and mentor, an indisputable authority. I only obeyed him in my life unquestioningly, listened to his every word, every remark, quote. He used to say to me: “Marus, don’t follow this company. They are bad people. I’ll tell you all about them now.” Indeed, he knew everything about everyone! He taught me how to behave: “Say civilized, do not swear.” Leonid Petrovich always held me back. “You are very emotional,” he told me. “It’s good for the stage, but not so good for life.” Derbenev had a great sense of humor. He says to me: “Do you know why I stayed with you for so long? Because you are a cultivator. It’s interesting to me.”

– Were you jealous of Pugacheva?

I actually grew up listening to her songs. When I found out that Derbenev wrote most of them, I was simply stunned. He told me about Alla Borisovna. Therefore, there could be no jealousy in principle.

What about Philip?

– With Philip, we always had a friendship, like school friends. Somewhere he made fun of me, somewhere I was over him. Leonid Petrovich always told us: “You need to sing in a duet.” I wanted to write a song, but I didn’t have time.

– Philip has been often criticized lately. What do you think about it?

– Calmly. I know one thing: each person will answer for all his deeds. I’ve been realizing a lot lately. The Almighty gave me an insight: earlier my soul was sleeping, and then once – and a vision happened. This is the most valuable thing. But in order to reach this vision, you need to go through fire, water and copper pipes.

Have you already passed them?

— I think I’m in the middle of the copper pipes. This is the most difficult, insidious test, the most cunning. Few survive!

– Can you call yourself happy?

– If you take the development of the soul, then I am happy. My soul used to be in a vice before enlightenment. If we consider Masha Rasputina as a woman, then, of course, she is not entirely happy.

– Why?

Why am I half unhappy as a woman? Because none of my daughters listen to me. None of them ever listened to me. It is a mystery to me why I did not become an authority for them. Although I always did everything for them. The eldest daughter Lida now listens to me even more or less. She is just very kind, she has already matured, wiser and, out of the kindness of her soul, has come to terms with the fact that you need to listen to what her mother says. And the younger Masha is not. And we don’t know what to do. How to get her out of this pool in which she fell? Maybe she has such a path of her own, hard. Maybe her soul is just being formed… It’s unclear.

– What is Masha dreaming about now?

— I dream of seeing the country happy, prosperous and prosperous. Because I cannot associate myself outside my homeland. Holy Rus’ deserves the best. And it is our holy Rus’, the heart of the world. If the heart of the world perishes, the world perishes. Therefore, I only dream of the prosperity of the motherland!
