Marina Devyatova considers Santa Claus to be a dental fairy

The famous folk singer Marina Devyatova celebrated her next birthday. As befits a singer, she celebrated it with her favorite audience on stage.

Marina Devyatova had the only sold-out concert in Moscow. As always, her performances are imbued with love for the Russian people and their traditions. And the name itself speaks for itself: “Russian! Folk”. The concert was attended by the mother of the singer Natalya Nikolaevna and daughter Ulyana. After the concert, the MK correspondent managed to talk with the singer, who spoke not only about her creative plans, but also about her family.

– Congratulations on your return to the stage after the birth of your second child! Great concert. How often do you celebrate your birthday on stage?

Yes, it’s already a tradition.

– Marina, there was a full hall of spectators who sang along with you. Why do you think people, spoiled by show business and pop music, go to folklore? After all, there were many young people in the hall.

Because we are deep people. Here is the Russian spirit, here it smells of Russia!

– Your mother and daughter were at the concert, but you didn’t take your son?

– No, my mother Natalya Nikolaevna was in the hall, and my daughter Ulyana was backstage. I promised her to take her to the stage at the end of the concert, which happened. I could not imagine my mother, you yourself saw the warm welcome of the public and gratitude to my mother. And I still don’t show my son, he is very small.

Is it hard to balance work and home? To be a loving mother and a wonderful singer?

“It’s just that a part of me is always with my son, and a part with my daughter. That’s all.

– It’s funny you said from the stage about the main thing for grandmothers …

– What, isn’t it? The main thing is not to blow, neither from below, nor from above – nowhere. Even when the room is +25, the grandmother looks to see if her grandchildren are blowing (laughs).

– Soon the favorite holiday of Russians – New Year. Does your daughter believe in Santa Claus?

– Despite the fact that Ulyana will be 6 years old in February, she still believes in Santa Claus. Until the age of three, we went to all kinds of New Year’s performances, concerts, performances, Christmas trees, and from the age of three we began to write letters to him. By tradition, we write letters right after Father Frost’s birthday, either at the end of November or at the beginning of December. Since the fairy-tale wizard is practically a dental fairy for us, and has the same magical authority, we are thoroughly preparing for the very process of writing a letter. Everything is official: I sit down at the table, take an envelope, a piece of paper, a pen. And a daughter with an important face sits next to her and slanders the text of the letter. At first she was very upset that she could not write herself, but I reassured her that I would carefully write everything down. Of course, with this gesture, I literally “kill a few birds with one stone.” Firstly, I find out what she asks to give her, and secondly, I help her form requests and be responsible for her words. In a letter, we write not only requests, but also tell how we behaved for a whole year, and Santa Claus, as you understand, will read all this. So Ulyana must do all this, and here we are especially able to match what was written in the last month of the year (laughs).

Then the whole Devyatov family finds the nearest Grandfather’s mailbox officially located in Moscow and lowers the magic envelope. And from that moment, preparations begin for a meeting with the storyteller: poems, skits, dress, and most importantly, excellent behavior. Mom, of course, is extremely happy about this, because the artist’s last month is always extremely difficult, and her beloved daughter helps her to do everything. Finally, Marina said that her daughter asked Grandfather Frost for the outfits of Belle, the Little Mermaid and Elsa from Frozen.
