Chief Director of the Russian Academic Youth Theater (RAMT) became Marina Brusnikina. She replaced Yegor Peregudov in this post, in May 2022 heading Mayakovsky Theatre.
Before the start of the 103rd season, Mrs. Brusnikina was introduced to the troupe by the artistic director of RAMT Alexei Borodin. He recalled that the director had already released four productions at the theater, the first of which was released in 2013. Then, according to Mr. Borodin, a real creative contact arose between the theater and the director. “She has a wonderful gift of a director and a gift of a teacher, the artists are happy to respond to her ideas – both in the choice of dramatic material, and in the approach to working with it,”— declared artistic director of RAMT. He also named the dates of premiere performances and tours.
After the death of her husband, Mrs. Brusnikina runs the Praktika Theater. As a director, she staged at Sovremennik, the Theater of Nations, the Mossovet Theatre, Et Cetera, Satyricon, the Chekhov Moscow Art Theater and others.
