It had to happen at some point, and it happened. And while in Hollywood, apparently, they are only thinking about how to turn the trial between Amber Heard and Johnny Depp into a script, we have everything ready.
The heroes of Star Court, a popular actor and no less popular actress, are immersed in a scandalous divorce process, the scheme of which is somewhat reminiscent of the trial between Heard and Depp. He is a monster, mired in all vices; she is a victim demanding justice. But, as is often the case with actors and actresses, characters can easily switch places.
Amber Heard’s laurels went to Maria Gorban, and Maxim Lagashkin takes the rap for Johnny Depp. It must be admitted that they guessed right with the casting. The leading actors successfully got rid of the Hollywood gloss of their prototypes, and in our version, the sufferer turned into a capricious, astrology-obsessed slut, and the star tyrant looks like a bumpkin with monstrous manners, but a big heart. In general, everything is as close as possible to the images of local media people.
This is where the positives of the series, unfortunately, end. There are no big complaints about how the heroes of the action play a comedy of the format to the best of a funny television series. But the very attempt to laugh at a high-profile Hollywood story looks rather ridiculous. In various episodes of the Star Court, the term “reputation” is heard every now and then, and the hero Lagashkin, after his wife concocted a scandalous book about him, complains that the slander of an insidious person is destroying his career and depriving him of advertising contracts.
All this is a bit like a dialogue from Eldar Ryazanov’s film “Garage”: “I am engaged in modern satire!” – “You have an amazing profession, you are doing something that does not exist.” A stellar reputation is something we don’t have either. In secular news and in the court chronicle, details of how the family life of famous people develops can regularly flash, and everything is very sad there: violence, manipulation, use of children in their own interests. But then abusers and manipulators, as if nothing had happened, play in TV shows, host TV shows, smile in commercials. And they didn’t care about the reputation and all sorts of investigations of telegram channels.
In general, the “Star Court” is not even the customs of the inhabitants of the Central Administrative District, but rather a fairy tale about what cannot be. There’s nothing wrong with fairy tales, but churning out comedic fantasies on completely unfunny topics is hardly a good idea.
FUR HURRY TO HELP
Such as Pushnoy, TV producers should appreciate. Alexander is one of the few presenters who can bring anything to a slight absurdity in the best possible way. So in “Countdown” he is busy with something like this.
Fans of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? in the process of reforming the program, they took away almost everything that was in the show before. There is no Dibrov, there are no his star friends-girlfriends, there are no their jokes. It is possible that the changes were necessary, although some viewers lived well without them. But the authorities decided: the stars should move in order to give way to ordinary people. And even more so, the public does not need to be shown how already rich celebrities earn all sorts of crazy thousands.
In Countdown, a snide spoof of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?, the stars lose money, and under Furry’s guidance, the process takes place to a deafening fanfare of mocking sarcasm.
Already at the tenth minute of this not endowed with great meaning, but a fun action, the thought comes into my head that we, of course, need stars. Who, if not them, will make faces in the frame, carry all sorts of nonsense, laugh contagiously and exude amusing confidence in their own irresistibility? And over whom, if not over them, we are so pleased to mock? “Wonder what they dressed up”, “the singer is useless from him”, “and also the actress is called” and stuff like that. Leisure, of course, is not particularly intellectual, but sometimes it is possible.
