The Sims is a computer game that, since 2000, has allowed players around the world not only to create an ideal character, but also to think through to the smallest detail his life, goals and lifestyle. It has recently become known that Loki director Kate Herron, in collaboration with Briony Redman, is preparing to film the game. The film will be produced not only by the television production company Vertigo Entertainmen, but also by LuckyChap, which is managed by Margot Robbie, Tom Ackerley, Josie McNamara and Sophia Kerr. It is worth noting that after the billion-dollar success of the film “Barbie”, this company became the most popular in Hollywood. And thanks to the fact that Electronic Arts (the American public multinational corporation that published the game) will be involved as a producer and creative, the film will definitely not lose its flavor.

Whether the new movie will repeat the dizzying success of “Barbie” – time will tell. However, you can already notice that both universes have some similar features, starting with the fact that the characters are completely dependent on the players, ending with the variability of storylines, the lack of a chronotope and a billion-dollar fan base.

Fyodor Bondarchuk, who has already shared this news with his subscribers on his Telegram, attached to the publication a photo from the game, where a little Sim is lying on the floor, and next to him sits his mother, who is completely immersed in the computer and does not notice that there is a fire around. The photo is accompanied by a humorous caption: “If the film adaptation of The Sims doesn’t have this scene, then I don’t even know what this is all for.”

It is worth noting that the game has long been famous for lags, which was also noted by commentators. So, one of them wrote: “I want them to add a scene where you get pregnant from an alien.” The irony was also supported by other subscribers, for example, of the following nature: “I hope there will be scenes with a swimming pool without stairs” or “the heroes will sell windows to order pizza.”
