In 2023, it is planned to supply the customer with two import-substituting SSJ-New liners, said Deputy Prime Minister, head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov. He stated that the launch of a full-fledged series is scheduled for 2024.
“The production plan for 2023 provides for the delivery of two finished SSJ-New aircraft, but first we need to pass tests and certification,” Mr. Manturov said in an interview with TASS.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, Russian airlines now have 150 SSJ-100 aircraft. He specified that industrialists have mastered the repair of 35 foreign components for the SSJ-100 this year. “Deliveries of materials and products for general use have also been established – aviation oils, special fluids, lubricants, fasteners, and so on,” he added.
As Kommersant learned earlier, Azimut this year for the first time in the history of Russian aviation will receive an SSJ aircraft with engines of the “second category”. The units were taken from the so-called replacement pool: a reserve for all Superjet operators. The transfer of the aircraft was supposed to take place earlier, but the Federal Air Transport Agency took a long time to figure out how to draw up the documentation.
