Russian businessman Alexander Mamut has decided to step down as chairman of the board of directors of the United Cinema Network (Formula Kino and Cinema Park), about this informed “Interfax” with reference to the company.

“The United Cinema Network “Cinema Park” and “Formula Kino” announces management changes in the group. The chairman of the board of directors of the film network, Alexander Leonidovich Mamut, decided to step down as chairman and withdraw from the board of directors,” the message says.

It is specified that the decision on the appointment of a new chairman of the board of directors will be made later. It is assumed that the composition of the Board of Directors will also be changed – this will be reported separately.

Mamut acquired Cinema Park in March 2017 from the son of Senator Suleiman Kerimov. A month later, he bought Formula Kino from Mikhail Fridman and his partners. After the merger of cinemas, the cinema chain became the largest in Russia. According to Nevafilm Research as of May 2022, it owns 76 cinemas with 585 screens.
