National Bank Trust and the group of companies of businessman Alexander Mamut stopped all legal disputes over the entrepreneur’s debt, which was estimated at 23.5 billion rubles. As reported “Vedomosti” bank representative, all legal actions to implement the peace agreement have also been completed.
“After a long process of agreeing on the details, the teams came to a compromise that satisfied both parties,” said a Trust representative. He did not specify the conditions under which the legal disputes were terminated.
In 2021, Trust filed a lawsuit against Alexander Mamut to collect debt on loans from his Cinema Park cinema chain in the amount of 19.2 billion rubles. Cinema Park filed four lawsuits against Trust back in January 2021. Trust indicated that Cinema Park tried to impose unacceptable terms for loan restructuring through the court, citing the difficult situation due to the pandemic. In September 2022, Alexander Mamut left post of head of the board of directors in a cinema chain.
On concluding an agreement to settle claims reported July 7. As a Trust representative clarified, the agreement took into account the external circumstances of recent years that have affected the film industry, including the COVID-19 pandemic.
