A representative of the Magnit retail chain confirmed the leak of personal data of Dixy employees. At the same time, according to him, only the working data of the personnel appeared on the network.
The Dixy group of companies has more than 2.6 thousand stores in 743 settlements and is owned by the Magnit retailer. According to the company, Dixy employs about 40,000 people in total.
A representative of Magnit told TASS that the leak occurred outside the company, on the side of one of Dixy’s former partners, with whom cooperation was terminated on December 31, 2022. “Dixie’s security loop has not been violated, customer data is safe, the causes of the leak are being investigated,” the source said.
On February 20, the Data1eaks Telegram channel reported a leak of personal data of employees of the Dixy and Bristol chains of stores. The database “Dixie”, according to the channel, contains 66.6 thousand records, “Bristol” – 38 thousand. Among the published data are the full names of employees, date and place of birth, phone number and e-mail.
