Vincent Klerk, current director of Ocean and Logistics, will become the new CEO of the Danish transport and logistics company AP Moeller-Maersk AS from January 1. This is stated in press release Maersk.
The current head of Maersk, Søren Skow, is leaving the company after 40 years. He has served as CEO since 2016. Maersk does not specify the reason for Mr. Skou’s departure. Clerk will be the first foreign CEO in Maersk’s history.
Maersk is one of the world leaders in container shipping. In Russia, the company has offices in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novorossiysk and Kaliningrad. In August in the media appeared information that Maersk is negotiating the sale of business in the Russian Federation.
