On Tuesday from 4:00 to 23:00 the strike will take place in Frankfurt, on Wednesday in Munich. It is reported that the strike will affect up to 100 thousand passengers.
UFO demands an increase in the salaries of flight attendants by 15%, as well as the payment of a one-time compensation of €3 thousand due to high inflation. 96% of union members voted in favor of a strike. This is yet another strike by Lufthansa employees in recent times. On Thursday, there was a strike by the airline’s ground service employees.
7 March Lufthansa presented reporting for 2023: annual net profit doubled, reaching €1.7 billion. At the same time, the airline worsened its forecast for the first quarter and 2024 as a whole. This is due to the fact that the growth in demand for air travel, which will continue this year, will be offset by costs due to strikes and other labor disputes.
