The Luding Group alcohol company continues to supply Ararat cognac from the Yerevan Brandy Factory to Russia as usual, Luding told Kommersant. They added that the distribution contract with the owner of the brand and plant Pernod Ricard is valid, and Luding has not received any notice of the suspension of cooperation on the Ararat brand.

According to Luding, Ararat’s distribution geography covers the whole of Russia, except for federal chains. Since the start of the contract in October 2021, more than 1.3 million liters of cognac have been sold, excluding the volume supplied directly by Pernod Ricard to the main chains. According to Kommersant’s sources in the market, about 4 million liters of Ararat are supplied to the Russian Federation per year.

The fact that the Yerevan Brandy Factory may stop exporting Ararat brandy to Russia last week told Minister of Economy of Armenia Vahan Kerobyan. This preceded statement by Pernod Ricard on the termination of exports of international brands to the Russian Federation and the intention to stop the distribution of the portfolio on the Russian market. Interfax, citing a source at the Yerevan Brandy Factory later informedthat the company continues to fulfill its obligations to all partners in all countries.
