Supplies of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to the EU countries in August 2023 fell to the lowest level since February last year, amounting to 9.8 billion cubic meters. m. This follows from the data of the association of European gas storage operators Gas Infrastructure Europe (GIE), which analyzed Vedomosti.
Compared to August 2022, deliveries decreased by 2.8%, and by 10.6% compared to July this year. In annual terms, LNG imports to the EU have been declining for the second month in a row: in July it decreased by 5% compared to July last year to 10.95 billion cubic meters. m.
