Lindt decided to leave Russia

The Swiss chocolate manufacturer Lindt & Sprüngli has decided to leave the Russian market, should from a statement posted on the company’s website.
At the same time, Lindt emphasized that the company is going to “support employees in Russia and act in accordance with national legislation.” The intention to sell the Russian business has not yet been reported.
On March 9, the manufacturer temporarily closed stores in Russia and suspended the export of products to the Russian market.
The first store in Russia was opened by the Swiss company in 2016. According to the local website, there are nine stores in Russia in total, products are also presented in their own online store. Lindt produces chocolate under the brands Lindor, P&M, Caffarellino, Swiss Classic, Excellence and others.
Since the end of February, many foreign companies have announced the suspension or termination of work in Russia. Swiss brands such as Rolex, Swatch Group AG and Richemont left the Russian market.
