Linda Iaccarino, ex-NBCUniversal manager, becomes CEO of Twitter

Twitter CEO Elon Musk has appointed Linda Iaccarino as CEO. Prior to this, Ms. Iaccarino worked at NBCUniversal, in recent years she was the head of global advertising and partnerships.

“Linda Iaccarino will focus primarily on business operations, while I will focus on product design and new technologies. Looking forward to working with Linda to transform this platform into X, a universal app,” Musk wrote in Twitter.

Under Ms. Iaccarino’s 2,000-person NBCUniversal team, her ad sales team has earned $100 billion over the years and partnered with most of the “new media” influencers, including Twitter, Buzzfeed, Snapchat and YouTube.
