Liksutov: the new “Moskvich” will be of interest to officials and the corporate segment

The main sales of the Moskvich crossover, produced at a plant in Moscow, will fall on car sharing, individuals and the corporate segment, Deputy Mayor of the capital Maxim Liksutov said in an interview with Kommersant. He noted that many members of the city government are considering “Moskvich” to travel to work.
“For example, our Traffic Management Center has “parkons” with cameras based on old Hyundai Solaris, which are already 7–8 years old,” he said. – We are already thinking about changing them to “Moskvich”, to put the appropriate equipment there. Many of my friends who work in the Moscow government consider the crossover as a car for daily work trips. Given the current market situation, we think that the car will be in demand.”
In 2025, Mr. Liksutov said, KamAZ will develop a new platform from Russian components for the production of electric vehicles. “Some of the components will be imported, this is normal, because even in China there is no complete 100% localization,” he noted. “But we want to strive for it. It’s too early to talk about what this new car will look like, what kind of component base it has.”
Earlier, the Moskvich plant named the price of the crossover – from 1.97 million rubles. The car will be presented in five colors: white, black, red, gray and blue. Until the end of the year shipment of cars will begin in 11 dealer centers in Moscow.
