“Lenkom” released the hooligan “Hare Moan” on its legendary stage

The capital’s “Lenkom” released an unexpected and somewhat risky premiere for its reputation. “The route has been built” – this is how the spectacle of the Hare Moan team, which was born in the bowels of the Lenkom crowd several years ago, was called. For a long time, the performance hung around various Moscow venues, proving that the “groan” among the “hares” is called a song, and not a dull whining about the fact that everything is bad, but it will be even worse. And then they reached the legendary stage, it has a special route. The MK columnist also walked along it, not without interest.

– I stood here for a long time, on the edge. He was a sailor, a cockroach, but whoever I just didn’t stand here. And now you see – I have the main role ?! – with such recognition and a complete break in an energetic dance, the premiere screening of “Hares” ends, which turned out to be far from a timid dozen. Finished to applause and even something resembling a standing ovation. Judging by what he saw, it can be argued that if Mark Zakharov did not keep these four artists in a black mass body, but immediately threw them in second and even main roles, he would have made them star stars, I bet – their ambitions would have died before they were born. But the wise Zakharov knew the acting nature well, so he was in no hurry to distribute theatrical goodies. I wonder what he would say now, following the route built by his young talents.

Four talents – Kirill Petrov, Maxim Amelchenko, Alexei Polyakov, Vitaly Borovik (remember the names). Another male quartet in the open spaces of Moscow, which will clearly step on the heels of the “I Quartet”. They built their performance according to the navigator, which at the very beginning, in the kind but indifferent voice of Yasmina Mamaeva, informs the public:

I am your navigator. You can not turn off your mobile phones, various gadgets and devices, through which you assert yourself. The only thing forbidden in our hall is to be ignorant and stupid. We have gathered all of you, 667 people. Let’s quickly go over the list – now you will see a list of surnames on the screen, find yours. We have been gathering you for four months, two weeks and three days to watch almost two hours of our performance. And it’s not certain that you’ll like it. But a caviar sandwich during the intermission will even out the impressions. Go. The route has been built.

On the stage there are no large-scale scenery familiar to Lenkom. Minimalism, manufacturability of scenographic elements, which are suitable for the sound of electric guitars and a drum set – without lyrics. Four tall, stately guys in front of the hall in a rap style energetically promise “a cinema without the prefix” cinema “and generally do everything …”. Like, jerk off the step, drum on the drums, remember my mother’s sandwich from childhood, as well as something biblical combined with a tempting modern one. “In the beginning, God created heaven, light, earth. Then he created a firmament in the middle of the water. He created fish, reptiles, birds, for some reason he created a platypus. And then he placed a man there and said to him: “Go, all roads are open for you.” And man – this, you see, the king of nature – did not know where to move.

Well, in general, you understand: the quartet swung at nothing less than happiness, in search of which they went to no one knows where, trying to explain what it is on the way? The initial data of the plot: the groom escaped from the registry office, a friend put him in the car, not noticing that either the brother-in-law or the brother of the abandoned bride was quietly sleeping in the back seat. On the way they were joined by a reflective waiter from the bar. Let’s hit the road!

I must say that literally from the first minutes, the “hares” boldly prove their ambitions. First of all, according to the text (the verb and paradoxical comparisons rule), very witty. According to a specific format – stand-up, KVN, storytelling, but very skillfully transplanted onto theatrical soil and generously enriched by it. The storyline is sustained from beginning to end with two lyrical digressions (a sobering joke at the end of the first act and a detective nature at the beginning of the second), as well as an open move, making it clear that we are in nowhere, but the Lenkom Theater. And it is never boring, the contact between the stage and the audience is established from the first minute. And the young director Daria Borisova (it is worth remembering the name) helped the artists a lot in this, she understands what form is, feels the material.

The design of the artist Alexei Kondratiev consists of one wooden hollow cube, which became the old Pontiac, where the specialists in the search for happiness climbed; but this minimalism is thoroughly supported by visual game content. The path of a person for happiness with the help of animation is given out like an exciting computer game, in several levels: “First, everything is simple here: food and a pot, you are still safe, the level of protection is mother’s sweater. Passing the level is quite simple, we all passed it in the 90s. To eat porridge, my stomach does not hurt, my mother is happy … The second level is more difficult – you have to try a little, mastering the skills to defend yourself. Your task is not to be distracted, not to give in to the desire to hang out. The first graters will be with the heifer, your task is to get “five” … And so on. to career growth and almost a coffin board. However, in order not to spoil the game, it was not included in the scheme.

The scheme is ideal, at least introduce it into the school curriculum, into the life safety course. But this is a question for the Ministry of Education, and not for the “Hare Moan”, which, having made a serious swing, received a test from the public in the form of applause for almost all the remarks. Particularly successful were the scenes in the first act – about hell for perfectionists, a system of polite prohibitions; in the second – the investigation of Detective McDuck in the case (not to be remembered by the night) of a serial killer named Happiness.

Everyone wanted to be happy. I want great universal happiness, but that’s all I had.

Someone will say that “The route is built” is another stebalovo. And I will say this: no, not another, firstly; and secondly, a real, ironic, recognizable in details, gifs and emoticons, a story about our life, which is told by talented people living in the crowd in real life.
