“Lenkom” opens a new season with Tatyana Vasilyeva, who has joined the theater troupe

On September 8 at noon, the capital’s Lenkom opened its 97th season. Both old-timers and famous artists who had just been accepted into the troupe came to the troupe’s gathering. With details from “Lenkom” – the columnist “MK”.

Already on the approaches to the theater on Malaya Dmitrovka, a number of television cameras and photographers were lined up by a fence. The first, as always, like many years, comes Alexander Zbruev, over whom, it seems, time has no power. The excellent physical shape of the artist, who is well over 80, is a reproach to all stooped young artists who do not care about their bodies. And Alexander Viktorovich also has a fighting spirit: the day before, they say, he spoke sharply at the artistic council, and at the meeting he issues a battle cry, which is supported by his young colleagues in the hall.

In the hall on the stage there is already a set for the evening premiere of the Mayakovsky performance. Director Mark Warsawer opens the collection. Honoring the memory of Inna Churikova, her husband director Gleb Panfilov and artists Boris Chunaev and Vladimir Kuznetsov who passed away this year, he lists the achievements of the past season – five premieres, the Crystal Turandot crystal ball, the opening of the Mask theater, the opening of exhibitions dedicated to theater and, of course, excellent renovation – a completely renovated façade, parquet flooring in the audience foyer. Everything is at your own expense.

“And now our plans for the 97th season,” he says. – The first premiere will take place in December: “At the Bottom” (dir. Andrey Prikotenko). Semyon Spivak will start work on “Tango” based on Mrozhek in February. And finally, the main director Alexei Frandetti begins directing in January… and he will tell you this himself.

Before Frandetti’s performance, dressed in a suit of original colors (asymmetrical checkered jacket and trousers), the troupe is introduced to a new actress who is known throughout the country.

Tatyana Vasilyeva, whom I did not immediately recognize because of her long red hair, bowed modestly, accepted a bouquet of light carnations and sat down. After gathering the troupe, she told me that she had not come for a specific new role, but for now she would be introduced to “Marriage,” for the role of a matchmaker, and then, as she said, “We’ll see.” She was also offered a job in the production of “At the Bottom”, but for what role? “I still don’t know who I can be there.”

Alexei Frandetti was cheerful and began optimistically:

– Yesterday, when we were rehearsing Mayakovsky, I once again thought: “What a beautiful troupe we have.” This applies to everyone, not just those involved in today’s performance. I meet the second season with you. For me, in many ways, Lenkom has always been associated with wonderful booklets, so we made a wonderful Mayakovsky booklet and, of course, wonderful merch.

The merch is immediately demonstrated – a bright T-shirt with a red print of a screaming Mayakovsky. Apparently, the new chief director has a comprehensive approach to theatrical production and its promotion to the masses. And he is already talking about his own creative plans:

At first I wanted to make Casanova. But at the pre-premiere showing of the play “The Route Is Built,” I heard children’s laughter in the audience.

Therefore, “Casanova” moved and gave way to “Caliph Stork”. The music for the performance, addressed to a family audience, is written by Andrei Rubtsov and exclusively to the vocal capabilities of the Lenkom artists. Well, then Frandetti will take on Much Ado About Nothing.

For Zakharov’s 90th birthday, we came up with the director’s laboratory “Marka Marka,” he continued. – Without samples and laboratories there is no movement forward. I hope that future performances will be born from laboratory shows. We will be looking for new directorial names and acting talents. The concept of the laboratory is to take texts, even if not particularly popular, but with which Mark Zakharov has worked. For example, “Avtograd”.

Frandetti brought a free note to the action; in any case, the artists from the audience seemed to sing in response to him.

Viktor Rakov, as president of the Leonov Foundation, announced the names of the winners of the team’s internal award. For the roles played in the season, it was received by Olesya Zheleznyak, Dmitry Gizbrecht, Anna Yakunina, Svetla Ilyukhina, Sergei Piotrovsky, Andrei Leonov, Alexey Karnaushkin (by the way, for a cameo role in the play “Running”). And the sound engineering service was recognized as the best workshop.

Towards the end of the gathering, the Lenkom members thundered “Hallelujah” from their immortal “Juno”, but with a text for the occasion.
