Leadership changed at Gucci fashion house – Kommersant

The French Kering group of billionaire François Pinault, which manages luxury brands such as Gucci, Saint Laurent, Bottega Veneta, Balenciaga, Alexander McQueen, Brioni, Boucheron and others, announced about the change of leadership in the Italian fashion house Gucci.
Marco Bizzarri, who has been president and CEO of Gucci since 2015, will leave the company on September 23. Kering emphasized that “having served for 18 years on the Board of Directors of Kering, Marco Bizzarri has been behind Gucci’s outstanding growth since 2015 and has excelled in other important roles within the Kering Group companies.”
Jean-Francois Palu, Managing Director of the Kering Group, has been appointed as the new President and CEO of Gucci “in transition” to “strengthen the Gucci team and prepare its leadership and organizational structure for further development in the future.” For the sake of Gucci’s leadership, Mr. Palu will leave his position on the board of directors of Kering and move to the Gucci head office in Milan.
Kering also announced that Francesca Belletini, President and CEO of Yves Saint Laurent, will take on brand development across the Kering Group in addition to her current role at the fashion house as Deputy CEO of the Kering Group. She will have all the brand development leaders of the Kering group under her supervision.
