Online retailer Lamoda plans to open 300 sportswear and footwear stores in 20 Russian cities over the next three years, including in the premises where Adidas previously worked. By the end of 2023, it is planned to open 50 offline stores.
According to a Lamoda spokesperson, quoted by RBCentering traditional retail will help the company expand its presence in the sporting goods market, as well as offer customers a convenient service with online and offline shopping platforms.
“The final assortment will be clear by the time of launch, but we plan that popular brands from the Lamoda assortment will be presented, as well as a number of unique items,” the company representative clarifies. In Lamoda online stores, you can now purchase goods from sports brands Adidas, Puma, Reebok, Nike, Vans.
In 2019, Lamoda opened a store in the Atrium shopping center in Moscow, but it later closed. The company called the opening of the outlet “experimental”. In 2022, the Global Fashion Group, which owned Lamoda, sold the company to the owner of the Stockmann chain, Yakov Panchenko. At the end of 2022, Lamoda increased its revenue by 26.4%, to RUB 61.3 billion.
