JSC Kuzbassenergo and the Prosecutor General’s Office of Russia entered into an agreement to resolve the situation surrounding the shares of JSC Sibeko. This is said on website companies. Information about the agreement was confirmed to Kommersant by the supervisory agency.
“As a result, the parties refused to further consider the case in court. The financial resources of JSC Kuzbassenergo determined under the agreement are aimed at social charity in the field of education and enlightenment of children,” the company said in a statement.
Prosecutor General’s Office August 17 filed a lawsuit was filed in court, in which the owner of Sibeko Andrey Melnichenko, the Kuzbass Joint-Stock Company of Energy and Electrification (Kuzbassenergo) and the Khakass Service and Repair Company were named as defendants. The third party in the case was JSC Siberian Energy Company.
The department demanded that Sibeko shares be recovered in favor of the state. According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, the assets were purchased from the structures of ex-Minister for Open Government Affairs Mikhail Abyzov, and the deal contained signs of “taking advantage of dishonest behavior.”
