Serbian director Kusturica may shoot a new film in Sochi
Serbian film director and musician Emir Kusturica, in a conversation with TASS, shared plans for filming his new film “Easy Walking Engineer” in the city of Sochi.
“My next project will be filmed in the south, in Sochi. It will be a film called “Engineer of Easy Walks,” he said.
According to Kusturica, the film will tell the story of a young chimney sweep who, in addition to his work, also engages in “easy walk engineering” – accompanying those who need company.
“Wherever you want to go, he will go with you, because he is just a kind person. However, a problem arises – he falls in love with a young attractive girl who is in trouble. She has problems with her father <...>. My father lost all his money, including funds that had been set aside for the treatment of our engineer’s beloved brother. This money was supposed to save the boy. To pay for medical services, a woman decides to earn them herself by becoming a prostitute. She leaves for St. Petersburg, and the main character loses track of her. Later, he also moves to St. Petersburg and starts working as a pizza courier to survive. And everything else is already in the film,” he said.
