Ksenia Yudaeva’s powers on the board of directors of the Central Bank expire on October 10, 2023. She is not on the list of candidates for re-election, reports Interfax.
“We will not approve Ksenia Yudaeva,” Anatoly Aksakov, chairman of the State Duma Committee on the Financial Market, confirmed to Interfax.
On October 9, the committee plans to consider the issue of re-electing seven candidates to the regulator’s board of directors. In October, the term of office of State Secretary of the Central Bank Alexey Guznov, First Deputy Chairman Vladimir Chistyukhin, Head of the Service for the Protection of Consumer Rights and Ensuring the Availability of Financial Services of the Central Bank Mikhail Mamuta, as well as Alexey Simanovsky will also expire. They are planning to be re-elected for a new term.
Three new candidates will also be considered: Director of the Financial Stability Department Elizaveta Danilova, Head of the Main Directorate for the Central Federal District Rustem Mardanov and Head of the Volga-Vyatka Main Directorate Larisa Pavlova. Members of the board of directors are appointed by the State Duma for five years. The approval is planned during the plenary meeting of the State Duma on October 12.
August 1, Mrs. Yudaeva moved on to the position of adviser to the chairman of the Central Tsank. Before that, she worked for 10 years as first deputy chairman of the Bank of Russia. Ms. Yudaeva remains on the Financial Stability Committee of the Bank of Russia.
