But the fact is that a month ago nothing foreshadowed her departure, ”a source close to the Central Bank told RTVI.

At the same time, the source RBCclose to the Central Bank, said that Ksenia Muratova’s colleagues learned about her intention to quit “a few months ago.”

Ksenia Muratova is the daughter of Dmitry Muratov, editor-in-chief of Novaya Gazeta. She became an adviser to Elvira Nabiullina in the early 2010s. Graduated from the Faculty of Economics of Lomonosov Moscow State University with honors.

In November 2022, Dmitry Muratov, in an interview with Yuri Dud (recognized as a foreign agent), said that he did not know about the details of his daughter’s work. According to him, “they have never had any influence on each other in the working sense.”

In February 2023, the deputy chairman of the regulator, Ruslan Vesterovsky, left the Central Bank. He now holds the post of senior vice president of Sberbank. In 2022, several top managers left the Bank of Russia, including First Deputy Chairman Sergei Shvetsov and Deputy Chairman Yuri Isaev.
