Experts then connected with a possible change of name, and in the Russian office of the company they said that they continue to work under an international brand.
At the end of 2022, Como LLC became the operator of the network’s domain names, and the Papa Johns logo changed on the network’s website.
According to the publication, the owner of the chain’s master franchise in Russia and the global office of Papa John’s cannot decide on what scenario the company can leave the Russian market. As the source said, there will most likely not be a sale of the business, it will continue to be managed by the current team led by the American Christopher Wynn.
According to RestCon CEO Elena Perepelitsa, the termination of relations with the parent company may lead to an increase in visitor complaints. At the same time, according to its data, the segment of pizzerias performed better than classic cafes and restaurants. The traffic of pizzerias in Moscow last year increased by 5%, and revenue – by 22%, while the traffic of cafes and restaurants decreased by 1%, and revenue increased by 11%. Papa John’s has 198 outlets in Russia.
