Kommersant: My.Games assets in Russia will be merged into a new holding

The new owner of the assets of the computer game developer My.Games – Group Multiplier – has begun restructuring, informed Kommersant, citing sources.
In the future, on the basis of the Russian company, a gaming holding working together with VK Play may appear – Multiplier Group JSC has already acquired three new game developers, the newspaper writes. According to SPARK, on March 27, the company acquired Imbakod, Smartfonio and N-Ginn, all of which have been operating in the video game development market for less than a year and were registered only in January 2023.
In September 2022, Leta Capital Managing Partner Alexander Chachava redeemed from VK My.Games for $642 million. After that, the game company spun off its Russian business into an independent company, Astrum Entertainment. Then My.Games told Vedomosti that Astrum would create a joint venture (JV) with the gaming company Innova, while “Innova will become the controlling and managing person of the created joint venture.”
Multiplier Group is a subsidiary of Astrum. It was established in 2021 and is 100% owned by Kirill Primakov. He is not familiar to Kommersant’s interlocutors and they believe that Primakov is a “nominal owner”, while behind him stands “a major investor who does not want to advertise his connection with the Russian market.”
The newspaper also said that Astrum and its “daughter” Multiplier Group will probably work together with VK Play. VK Play itself noted that it cooperates with all “key publishers and developers in the region.”
