Manufacturers of household appliances from Russia and China are interested in buying factories that have left the country LG, Bosch and Samsung. About it informs “Kommersant” with reference to sources in the household appliances market.

Among the brands that are considering the purchase of enterprises that have suspended work in the Russian Federation, the newspaper’s interlocutors name the Chinese Hisense (brands Toshiba and Gorenje), as well as the Russian Kuppersberg and Schaub Lorenz. The latter companies use contract manufacturing in different countries, in particular in China and Turkey.

Alexey Pogudalov, commercial director of Holodilnik.ru, also confirmed the interest of a number of companies in the capacities of LG, Samsung and Bosch in Russia. He claims that it is not only about the production of original branded equipment, but also about the placement of contract manufacturing by former owners of factories.

According to Pogudalov, the companies turned to the Ministry of Industry and Trade for advice, but so far they have not been able to agree on a deal. The department declined to comment on the companies’ plans, adding that they “support the localization of high-tech industries.”

BSH Household Appliances (manufacturers of Bosch appliances in the Russian Federation) stated that they “do not comment on rumors.” They clarified that at the moment the enterprises are idle, the company is considering various options for further action. Samsung said there were no offers to buy factories. Kuppersberg and Schaub Lorenz said they are not negotiating with the departed brands. At the same time, Kuppersberg CEO Dmitry Shashkin confirmed plans to localize production and consult with the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

After the start of the special operation, the largest manufacturers of electronics and household appliances suspended their activities in Russia and limited supplies. In particular, this decision was made by LG, Samsung, Bosch, Panasonic, Electrolux, Apple, etc. LG owns a plant in the Moscow region, Bosch has seven production facilities in the Russian Federation – in the Leningrad, Saratov and Samara regions, follows from the data on the company’s website. Samsung’s TV, monitor and washing machine manufacturing facility is located in the Kaluga region.
