Kazakhstan Railway lifted the ban on the transportation of oil products to the port of Taman

The Kazakh railway lifted the convention ban on the transportation of oil products in the direction of the Russian port of Taman, Reuters reports citing a telegram from KTZ. Tamanneftegaz confirmed to Kommersant the lifting of restrictions – according to the company, they were initially of a technical nature.
The fact that KTZh introduced a ban on the transportation of oil products in the direction of Taman after a fire at an oil product terminal was reported by Reuters the day before, on May 4. Later in the press service of KTZ declared TASS that the company did not impose restrictions, and the ban is being introduced by the Council for Railway Transport of the CIS countries since May 8.
According to Reuters, Russian Railways also imposed restrictions on the transportation of goods to the port of Taman on May 3. At the same time, the agency’s sources said that the work of the port is not disrupted, and the oil terminal continues to transship oil products and liquefied hydrocarbon gas. The agency does not report on the fate of the bans from the Russian Railways and the Council for Railway Transport of the CIS countries.
