Kazakhstan announces acceptance of oil for transportation to Germany

“Kaztransoil” started receiving Kazakh oil for transportation to Germany, says on the company’s website with reference to the director of the department for public relations and internal communications of Kaztransoil Shyngys Ilyasov.
“In accordance with the oil supply schedule approved by the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kaztransoil JSC transports 20,000 tons of Kazakh oil through the Druzhba oil pipeline in February to the Adamova Zastava oil delivery point for further delivery to Germany,” follows from statements.
In mid-January, Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan Bolat Akchulakov informedthat Russia supported the transit of Kazakh oil through the Druzhba pipeline to Germany.
At the end of December last year, Kaztransoil applied to Transneft for the transit of 1.2 million tons of Kazakh oil to Germany in 2023. Then Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak informedthat Russia is ready to support oil supplies to Germany.
December 20, 2022 Transneft official representative Igor Demin saidthat the decision on the transit of oil can only be taken by the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation. Then he noted that Kazakhstan cannot replace the volumes of energy that used to go from Russia to Germany.
