ZALA 421-24 is controlled by a hand controller, including from the vehicle. The unmanned complex, as the newspaper notes, can remain invisible due to low acoustic and visual visibility. It is capable of flying for more than half an hour at an altitude of up to 1500 m and develops a speed of up to 30 km/h. Communication range exceeds 3.5 km. Dimensions are 540x540x190 mm.
According to a representative of ZALA aero, the drone is stable in operation under conditions of suppression by means of electronic warfare. The quadcopter has already been tested.
Today, the Kremlin reported that participation in the opening ceremony of the military-technical forum “Army – 2022” and the Army International Games – 2022 is an example of the participation of Russian President Vladimir Putin. On August 15, he will visit the exhibition sites of promising models of military equipment in the military-patriotic park of culture and recreation of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation “Patriot”.
In 2019, the Kalashnikov concern presented a self-exploding unmanned aerial vehicle at the international arms exhibition in Abu Dhabi. The manufacturer in a video presentation said that the drone itself is ammunition: it explodes when it reaches its target. “This is a very accurate and most effective weapon, which is very difficult to fight with traditional air defense systems,” said Sergey Chemezov, CEO of Rostec.
