Judge dismisses Kevin Spacey’s harassment lawsuit against actor Anthony Rapp

A court in New York has dismissed a sexual harassment lawsuit filed by actor Anthony Rapp against Kevin Spacey. The plaintiff said that the actor molested him when Mr. Rapp was 14 years old. He sought damages in the amount of $40 million.
As the jury found, Anthony Rapp could not prove that Mr. Spacey “touched his private parts.” As a result, Judge Lewis Kaplan decided to close the case, reports AFP. According to Reuters, the defendant’s lawyer, Jennifer Keller, argued that the information about the harassment was a fabrication.
The trial in court lasted three weeks. Anthony Rapp was the first to report Kevin Spacey’s indecent behavior. The actor made allegations of harassment in 2017. He said that the incident took place in 1986 when he was 14 years old. Initially, Mr. Spacey replied that he did not remember this story, but explained his actions by alcohol intoxication.
