Manages the Russian assets of Euro Chem Group AG, one of the world’s leading producers of nitrogen, phosphate and potash fertilizers. The group was founded in 2001. The founder of the company is Andrey Melnichenko, who in 2022, after the introduction of EU sanctions against him, withdrew from the list of beneficiaries. The group produces raw materials and produces fertilizers at eight enterprises in Russia, as well as factories in Kazakhstan, Belgium, Lithuania, and China. In mid-March, Eurochem launched a complex for the production of phosphate fertilizers in Brazil with a capacity of 1 million tons per year. The company owns a distribution network in North and South America, Europe, Russia and the CIS, Asia and the Middle East. The company did not disclose financial results for 2023. At the end of the first half of 2023, the group reduced its net profit under IFRS by 1.8 times, to RUB 76.9 billion. Revenue decreased by 17%, to 181.6 billion rubles.
