“Izvestia” learned about the refusal of Michael Kors from deliveries to Russia

The American premium brand of accessories, clothing and footwear Michael Kors has suspended the supply of goods to Russia, write “Izvestia” with reference to sources in consulting and sellers of brand stores.

The cessation of supplies was also confirmed in the Randevu shoe network, however, Wildberries said that the brand continues to bring goods.

According to the publication, MEXX, Coccinelle, Marc O’Polo, Calvin Klein Jeans, Hugo, Karl Lagerfeld Jeans will open on the site of Michael Kors stores, the products of which are imported to Russia by that distributor – BNS Group.

According to experts interviewed by the newspaper, the departure of Michael Kors from Russia is unlikely to have a strong impact on consumers: the brands Twinset, Pinko, Armani Exchange, Furla, Liu Jo still operate in this price segment. In addition, Michael Kors products can continue to be ordered on marketplaces.

After the start of the special operation in Ukraine, the largest Western brands announced their withdrawal from the Russian market and the suspension of investments. According to Yale University, more than 1,000 companies have reported this publicly. Electronics manufacturers (Apple, SamsungAsus, Intel, Sony, etc.), cars (Jaguar, Porsche, Rolls-Royce, Bentley) and other brands.

After the companies began to leave the Russian market, the Ministry of Industry and Trade approved a list of goods for parallel imports that can be imported into the Russian Federation without the consent of the manufacturer or copyright holder. In particular, it included goods from electronics manufacturers, cars, rare earth metals, sports equipment, etc.
