Izvestia: H&M delivers a new collection to Russian stores

H&M has started shipping a new collection to Russia, reports “News” citing a source close to the retailer’s management. The Russian Council of Shopping Centers confirmed that new goods are coming to the chain stores. The press service of H&M claims that “the remaining stock is being sold in Russian stores.”

According to the interlocutor of the publication, H&M wants to “hold out on the market as long as possible.” To do this, the company allegedly organized the supply of goods to Russian stores from Kazakhstan. The source added that the H&M warehouses also increased the number of employees. Izvestia clarifies that the new collection has not yet been presented in stores, but is only being prepared for sale.

H&M Group temporarily suspended operations in Russia in March due to the military operation in Ukraine. On July 18, the trading network announced the decision to close the business in Russia.
