The structure of the Iranian Entekhab Group is negotiating the acquisition of the plant of the Turkish manufacturer of household appliances Vestel, located in the Aleksandrovsky district of the Vladimir region. About it “Vedomosti” said two consultants working with the facility. According to them, the total area of the enterprise is 44 thousand square meters. m.
One of the publication’s interlocutors claims that negotiations between the parties are at the final stage; according to another, the deal has already been closed. Consultants are not aware of other details of the negotiations on the purchase of the plant. Entekhab Group and the Russian office of Vestel did not respond to Vedomosti’s request.
According to information on the website of the government of the Vladimir region, on October 7–8, a delegation headed by the regional governor Alexander Avdeev visited Iran. In particular, as part of the trip, the delegation visited the Entekhab Group factory in the city of Isfahan. IN press release following the visit, it is noted that the parties “expect to agree on the localization of the company’s production in the Aleksandrovsky district.”
Entekhab Group, founded in 2000, is one of the largest Iranian manufacturers of household appliances. The total area of the production complex in Isfahan is 300 thousand square meters. m, this is one of the largest projects in Iran. Entekhab Group does not disclose financial statements.
On October 13, Kommersant reported the intention of Iranian manufacturers of household appliances to localize production in Russia. In particular, we are talking about the companies Datees and Emersun, which can buy or lease the stopped capacities of Samsung and LG. But experts believe that Iranian brands have a “specific design” and are able to interest Russians only in the event of “a severe shortage, which does not exist now.”
