The Berlin prosecutor’s office has closed the investigation against Rammstein frontman Till Lindemann, reports Berliner Zeitung. The criminal case against the soloist was instituted in June after several women accused Mr. Lindemann of sexual harassment and rape.
At the end of May, 24-year-old Irish Shelby Lynn wrote on X (then called Twitter) that after a Rammstein concert, a drug was added to her drink, after which the band’s lead singer offered her to have sex. The next morning the girl woke up with hematomas. After that, at least ten girls from different countries began to share similar stories about the lead singer on social networks.
The Berlin-based law firm Schertz Bergmann, which represents Mr. Lindemann, has denied allegations of harassment. And Shelby Lynn herself later clarified that she did not accuse him of rape. In addition, according to the Rammstein frontman’s lawyers, not a single official complaint of sexual harassment to German law enforcement agencies from girls allegedly injured by Mr. Lindemann has been received during this time.
