Vladimir Potanin’s Interros redomiciliated (transferring a company from one jurisdiction to another without the need to close it) another Cypriot company to a special administrative region (SAR) on Russky Island. Interros Ltd was re-registered there, which received the name of Interros Invest MCOOO, reports Interfax with reference to the data of the Unified State Register of Legal Entities.
The owner of the company is Mr. Potanin himself, the general director is Alexander Godovikov. He also leads the first company transferred to the SAR, Interros Capital (Interros Capital Ltd). As explained Vladimir Potanin, the choice of Russky Island is due to the fact that the Interros Group plans to become an anchor investor in the Russian Far East.
Former name Interros Ltd—Olderfrey Ltd (replaced in 2021). This company owned the Cypriot Whiteleave Holdings Ltd, which represented Interros in the shareholder agreement of PJSC MMC Norilsk Nickel. Interros owns a 33.8% stake in Norilsk Nickel.
On the plans of Norilsk Nickel – in the material “Kommersant” “Surplus weighs on nickel”.
