The American corporation Apple has suspended warranty service for MacBook and iPad in Russia, informed Interfax with reference to the company’s support service and several service centers.
The support service noted that the suspension occurred due to limited supplies to Russia, including spare parts. The service centers explained that this does not yet apply to iPhone smartphones. Information about the complete termination of warranty service has also been received.
After the start of Russia’s special operation in Ukraine, the largest equipment manufacturers suspended their activities in Russia. On March 2, 2022, Apple restricted the import of products, sales and operation of Apple Pay in Russia. A similar decision to suspend supplies was made by the South Korean companies LG and Samsung. In addition, due to problems with logistics and pricing, in early March, shipments of Chinese Xiaomi were almost halved, Huawei and Oppo.
