Interest rates on ruble deposits stabilized in August

The average maximum interest rate on ruble deposits in the ten largest banks of the Russian Federation, attracting the largest volume of deposits, decreased slightly in the third decade of August, to 6.84%. In the second decade it was 6.86%, in the first – 6.83%. Thus, throughout August, deposit rates remained at a level slightly below 7%.
Recall that the maximum interest rate was fixed in the first ten days of March after the decision of the Central Bank to raise the key rate immediately to 20%. Since then, it has been declining and for the first time fell below 7% per annum in the third decade of July.
