Inter RAO warned of a partial stop in electricity exports

Inter RAO, which is the sole operator of export-import of electricity in Russia, is ready to limit or completely stop supplies outside the EAEU from October 1 (in addition to Russia, it includes Kazakhstan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, and Armenia). Company representative Alexandra Panina announced this to reporters on September 28 on the sidelines of a conference of the Council of Energy Producers.

According to her, the company sent a proposal to counterparties outside the EAEU to raise electricity prices by 7% due to export duties introduced by the Russian government. Panina clarified that we are talking about electricity supplies to China, Mongolia, Azerbaijan and South Ossetia. Deliveries to Georgia and transit through it to Turkey were not planned for October.
