Inflationary expectations of Russians rise for the third month in a row

Inflationary expectations of the population for the year ahead in October rose to 12.8% from 12.5% in September and 12% in August, showed interview infom, conducted by order of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation. Observed inflation, on the contrary, decreased to 18.2% from 21.5% a month earlier.
Inflation expectations are the level of inflation assumed by consumers and producers, on the basis of which they determine their own monetary policy and model of consumer behavior. This indicator is one of the important factors that the Central Bank takes into account when making a decision on the key rate. The next meeting on the rate will be held on Friday, October 28.
