India last year became the largest foreign supplier of medicines to Russia, while Germany dropped to second place after a 20% reduction in imports. This is reported by RBC with reference to data from the analytical company RNC Pharma.
In 2023, 293.9 million packages of medicines from India were imported into Russia, or 3% more than a year earlier. In 2021 and 2022, Germany was the leader in drug supplies to Russia, but in 2023, imports of German drugs decreased by 20% to 238.7 million packages.
